We had pretty good conditions under the big bridge for a Discover Scuba experience and open water dives. The vis was 15' and the water temperature was 78. I have been told that dredging in the inlet is reducing the vis. I am hopeful that work will be completed soon. Most of the usual suspects were there along with a beautiful, fairly large for the bridge, octopus. Our Discover Scuba people were thrilled. PHIL FOSTER PARK
Phil Foster Park is located smack in the intracoastal waterway just west of Singer Island and south of Peanut Island. There is a playground, and picnic areas with grills. Open sunrise to sunset; This park was just renovated in 2007 and it really looks nice and provides for nice easy diving.
